  • Dealing with the fact that my grandmother (dad's side) is now classified as end of life

Man oh man I could use some now! I'm loving planning my wedding but wow it takes a lot out of me at times. I'm trying to make sure I can get things done know so that I don't stress my self out to much when its mere weeks away. I love each moment that I get to cross something off my to-do list! I don't think I could do it without my wonderful Bestie Sarah though<3>

Oops!

So we just found out that the location we wanted is already booked for that day so we've gone with our second choice, which is actually bigger the main difference is our first choice was more secluded. Oh well! Just as pretty! You'll have to excuse the poor quality and lack of photo's. I didn't take as many because I didn't think we were using this shelter! Hopefully i'll get some better shots later!

Wedding Location!

I'm fairly certain we've made our decision on where Justin and I shall be wed, now all we have to do is book the shelter and figure out money/costs. You'll have to excuse the quality of the photo's. I was snapping them in a hurry and didn't take time to get the right settings.
It was a beautiful morning to get to check the place out though. My daddy came with the two of us and showed us the place he thought would work best. It's a gorgeous shelter. We're thinking of hanging icicle lights in the rafters for extra light and we'll move all the picnic tables outside and rent some chairs! AHH I'm so excited!

holy macaroni batman!!

Time for an update! So things have been really crazy! Let's start off with two days after I got engaged. So two days later I was still competing in Blue Mountain and I was in the middle of doing the Lyrical Group dance on stage when I suddenly fell. I managed to sprain my ankle bad enough that a trip to the E.R. was mandatory.
So that was then.. I'm still unable to do a lot of heavy jumps but I've been doing a lot better. I got off the crutches as soon as I could however I wear my brace faithfully every day. The only problem is I don't have many options when it comes to cute shoes because my brace would stretch them out.
Unfortunately around the same time I sprained my ankle, my grandfather (Poppy) ended up in the hospital with a severe staff infection and now has Congestive Heart Failure. Right now his status is end-of-life and going day-by-day.
Now I love my grandfather dearly and it would mean a lot to me to see him at my wedding. I also know it would mean a lot to him because I want to keep the ceremony/vows as the traditional Anglican vows(My Poppy use to be an Anglican minister). So because of all this Justin and I were talking about pushing our wedding date up from April of next year to this September. However we decided we would leave the decision up to my Granny.
When we went to visit her the other day we pulled her out into the living room of my aunt and uncles house (They live in a "Grandparent Suite" inside their house) and talked to her about it and told her we wanted her opinion and counsel. She blew us away by saying that, yes she thought it was a good idea. So we now have four months to pull everything together! It's going to be crazy! However if my parents can do it in two months I think we can do it in four!
So that's my exciting news! oh, and the fact that I graduated two months early is pretty exciting ;)

God Bless
Tracey

I know this isn't an update.. it's pretty lame but with everything going on right now I just haven't the time to sit down and write. Soon I shall write out a long rant/explanation but right now I just want to sleep and dream that my Fiance is beside me cuddling with me. So goodnight and God Bless.

P.s. I dedicate this photo to my Poppy (My Grandfather)

The Day I Got Engaged!

Justin Proposed to me on Friday so I thought I'd share a the story with my blog ;)

It started out with Justin letting me in on the fact that the ring was on it's way but wouldn't be here until monday (the 20th). Yes, I knew it was going to happen and it was me that made him spill the beans on when it was coming (I can be extremely annoying and pester until I get what I want ;) )

Justin had me so convinced that it wasn't coming till monday that when He asked me if we could have a romantic day for celebrating on my day off from competitions, I said yes. Just to quickly explain this a little furthur in detail.. I was competing in Blue Mountain Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and was under the assumption that he was going to propose on Monday, and he was playing along. So his excuse (I guess you could call it an excuse) for having the romantic day was that we both worked on the monday so why not celebrate it a little early while we both have a day off?

So late Friday morning he came over and picked me up and off we went shopping, out to McDonalds for lunch, a quick stop for Justin to drop something off then back home so I could change and then we were off to Bracebridge where Justin told me he had made reservations at a really cool restaurant.
On the way we stopped and took some pictures at a neat dam in Bracebridge (yes we will be posting photo's from Friday soon!) and then we were off so we would be on time for dinner reservations.

The restaurant was a really neat Japanese place called Wabora. It was really really really cool though! The table we sat at was one where the chef cooks alll your food in front of you and does some neat tricks for entertainment! My favorite was where he juggled some eggs and one ended up in his hat! :)

After dinner Justin told me he knew of this cool lookout spot where we could take some sunset pictures!
Now just to clarify.. I was completely daft at what was going on the entire time, I didn't even clue in when he mentioned the lookout spot because it was normal for us to do that kind of thing. We did it all the time at Wasaga! Anywho, off we went and it was GORGEOUS! we had the entire place to ourselves and the most beautiful sunset! We were taking ton's of pictures and then at one point I said "Why don't we set up the tri-pod and grab a few of us?" He agreed and said "Hey can you hold this for a sec?" he handed me the camera and I was contemplating how to change some of the settings and looked over to ask him and there he was.. getting down on one knee :) I flipped out/spazzed out basically :) :P haha it was really romantic, all alone on a beautiful lookout point, gorgeous sunset behind us and my beloved getting down on one knee to propose.

At this point I'm still a little fuzzy on the details as it seems like such a blur now but it did take me a while to actually say yes since I was dancing around, hugging Justin and getting twirled around:) However, eventually Justin reminded me I needed to give an answer and of course I said yes!!!

I'M ENGAGED!

Wednesday Morning Inspiration

I stayed up a little late last night reading a Martha Stewart Cookbook and now all I want to do is bake bread and make dinner. However, seeing as I need to finish packing up my room so that my parents can start working on getting it painted this weekend. Also apparently I need to clean the house today, oh yes and go to the grocery store so I'll have snack food this weekend at dance competition in Blue Mountain, and I have a meeting with the bank so I can start the process of getting a credit card in the works.
so I'll leave you with a pretty picture for inspiration to get motivated on this wonderful sunny morning.

Belated Birthday

My wonderful/beautiful friend Corrina made a cake (by herself which was a huge accomplishment) just for me, and it was so good that I managed to eat about ten pieces by myself over the course of three days! She took a picture of the cake so I thought I would share her masterpiece with you!

FINISHED!!!

I did it! I am finally done/ finished school! I am so happy right now I feel like I could fly into space! I woke up this morning determined to get the exam done and over with so I didn't have to think about it and I did! I only struggled with a few questions and I'm feeling really good about it. I'll post the mark when I get it:) Thanks to all who have been supporting me this last little while, you guys are awesome! I really have to thank my mom though. She has been homeschooling me my entire life and has been a constant supporter, motivator, friend, teacher, and all in all someone I've really relied on. I'm thankful for her decision to homeschool me, because of it, we've developed a tight and close relationship that I'm am extremely proud of and thankful for! so thank you Mommy!

p.s. please excuse the fact that the picture is a couple years old, but it's one of my favorites of the two of us.

Terpsichore Dance Celebration

Just to let you guys know how my competition/birthday went this weekend, I thought I'd give you a run down of some of the stuff that happened.
Musical Theater got Honours
Our hiphop number got and excellence
My ballet solo got an excellence
Lyrical got an excellence
and Jazz got a high excellence!
so basically it means most of it was in the nineties which is really good considering this is BDC's first year of having senior level groups enter competitions! all in all it was a really fun weekend! I got super nervous backstage but as soon as I was on I had the time of my life and was sad whenever I had to get off the stage.
Now for a few weird things that happened: The MC (who admitted his age was 44) kept saying "Sick!" and completely got the title of my solo wrong until I corrected him *blush* it was called Le Revanche Del Tango. During awards and such some strange girls from another company kept trying to be inconspicuous about taking pictures of a few of us (it was really weird). I had a spazz attack in the change room when some girls tried to move my tutu bag (containing my $300 Tutu) just to peek into a room they weren't suppose to enter. Oh and Danielle and I have a new thing.. we found out we love saying "SHARK BAIT OO AH AH!" (from finding Nemo).. now you have to understand this was at like a little past nine at night after a long day at competition and we were getting a little bored/hyper.
As for my birthday.. I kept forgetting it was my birthday so every now and then when I remembered, whoever was standing next to me had to put up with my "Hey guess what! It's my birthday!" haha. My wonderful nephew gave me the movie "Twilight" which I have yet to find a chance to watch, Justin gave me a couple cd's I've been craving to own (Amy Macdonald and Kate Havnevik) and my parents gave me some small hoops for my top two holes in my ear. Also my wonderful friend, classmate, and student Corrina baked me a cake all by herself and gave me a wonderful card with a beautiful note inside that almost made me cry<3 I also had a birthday party the weekend before competition where some more of my terrific friends gave me some wonderful gifts! I am so grateful for all the friends and family I have been blessed with<3

Anyways that enough blogging for now!
God Bless

P.s. I have one more test then my final exam! YAY!

Finally! Some Motivation!

Image Via Overflowing

I'm finally feeling motivated to get my business math course done! I sat down after completing a math test and wondered how many I had left to accomplish. I've gone through and paper-clipped
every section to show myself where my tests are. Just a side note: this book is pretty thick. There are nine sections left. I figure I can generally force myself to do an entire section in one day, so If I do one section per day and then a test the next day I can complete the course within 18 days. Twenty max I figure.
I'm eager to see if it's gonna work. Maybe I'll reward myself by painting my room if I actually do it! I'll update my blog semi-daily if possible :)
If you'll excuse me however, I figure I can get one section done today :)

23.3.09

My mother and I went on a bit of a road trip today. We were mainly just practicing my highway/driving skills and decided it would be a good time to pick up some tights that I needed for upcoming competitions (first one is on my birthday weekend:) ). At the same time we managed to come across some really good bargains (dance pants, leotard, and a shirt). I made mention of longing for a pair of real jazz shoes as I'm finding that my long hours during teaching my feet get really painful from all the moving around I do. So! I am finally a proud owner of some Bloch Jazz Shoes! YAY! plus the lady gave me ten percent off because of where I work! double yay!

oh p.s. Just found a wonderful blog! http://www.positivityblog.com/ You should check it out! :)

French Onion Soup!

My lovely wonderful friend Mel gave me her Martha Stewart Living cookbook a couple days ago and I couldn't wait to use it! I've already tried out the French Onion Soup recipe and it was delish! Plus it was gone within a few hours :)

Best Friends? Duh!

My wonderful best friend came over this past weekend and we ended up staying up super late, watching mamma mia, and my big fat greek wedding, made a couple music videos, took some shots, and ultimately got to catch up and hang out:) (we actually made two videos but I'm way to lazy to wait for two of these things to upload!!!)

I know I'm going to have a good day/evening when... my contacts go in without a hassle

Daisy's

Some of my close friends know that daisies are my absolute favorite flower, as well as my birth flower. :) Justin always gets me daisies and I've recently moved my latest bouquet (from valentines day) to my window sill in my room, and I love it! I'm making my self a promise to keep a bouquet there all spring/summer long!

photo's taken and edited by me!

check it out, it's pretty cool! It's basically a hearing test.

Matching Shoes?

Okay when I came across this photo via Le Love, my cornballish/romantic side came out (which doesn't happen often) and pretty much instantly wished Justin and I had matching shoes! The chance of this happening though is really low though I think since Jus generally likes his shoes to have good support and have a feeling it would be hard to find matching shoes that were cute (and manly) and have good support. So for now I'll just wish.

Note to Self:

Your work uniform is a skin tight leotard, tights, and basically anything that's spandex.
You're in shape. You can bend in ways most people can't.
You look fantastic. SO STOP JUDGING YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR AND STOP CHECKING THE NUTRITION FACTS FOR CALORIES AND FAT CONTENT! ahem.
Basically I've come a across my first pair of pants that I can't quite squeeze into and had a meltdown and decided it meant that I needed to lose weight. I've since realized I am 120 pounds, and I'm in terrific shape and always will be with my wonderful job.

Please ignore the old hair in the photo.

Why Yes I Collect Tupperware!

I cannot lie. I LOVE tupperware! My mother use to sell it so we have an entire (huge) cupboard thing dedicated to holding it all. I've grown up with it and love it! I keep inheriting different pieces and I've started buying some of my own as well<3>
