The Day I Got Engaged!

Justin Proposed to me on Friday so I thought I'd share a the story with my blog ;)

It started out with Justin letting me in on the fact that the ring was on it's way but wouldn't be here until monday (the 20th). Yes, I knew it was going to happen and it was me that made him spill the beans on when it was coming (I can be extremely annoying and pester until I get what I want ;) )

Justin had me so convinced that it wasn't coming till monday that when He asked me if we could have a romantic day for celebrating on my day off from competitions, I said yes. Just to quickly explain this a little furthur in detail.. I was competing in Blue Mountain Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and was under the assumption that he was going to propose on Monday, and he was playing along. So his excuse (I guess you could call it an excuse) for having the romantic day was that we both worked on the monday so why not celebrate it a little early while we both have a day off?

So late Friday morning he came over and picked me up and off we went shopping, out to McDonalds for lunch, a quick stop for Justin to drop something off then back home so I could change and then we were off to Bracebridge where Justin told me he had made reservations at a really cool restaurant.
On the way we stopped and took some pictures at a neat dam in Bracebridge (yes we will be posting photo's from Friday soon!) and then we were off so we would be on time for dinner reservations.

The restaurant was a really neat Japanese place called Wabora. It was really really really cool though! The table we sat at was one where the chef cooks alll your food in front of you and does some neat tricks for entertainment! My favorite was where he juggled some eggs and one ended up in his hat! :)

After dinner Justin told me he knew of this cool lookout spot where we could take some sunset pictures!
Now just to clarify.. I was completely daft at what was going on the entire time, I didn't even clue in when he mentioned the lookout spot because it was normal for us to do that kind of thing. We did it all the time at Wasaga! Anywho, off we went and it was GORGEOUS! we had the entire place to ourselves and the most beautiful sunset! We were taking ton's of pictures and then at one point I said "Why don't we set up the tri-pod and grab a few of us?" He agreed and said "Hey can you hold this for a sec?" he handed me the camera and I was contemplating how to change some of the settings and looked over to ask him and there he was.. getting down on one knee :) I flipped out/spazzed out basically :) :P haha it was really romantic, all alone on a beautiful lookout point, gorgeous sunset behind us and my beloved getting down on one knee to propose.

At this point I'm still a little fuzzy on the details as it seems like such a blur now but it did take me a while to actually say yes since I was dancing around, hugging Justin and getting twirled around:) However, eventually Justin reminded me I needed to give an answer and of course I said yes!!!

I'M ENGAGED!

Wednesday Morning Inspiration

I stayed up a little late last night reading a Martha Stewart Cookbook and now all I want to do is bake bread and make dinner. However, seeing as I need to finish packing up my room so that my parents can start working on getting it painted this weekend. Also apparently I need to clean the house today, oh yes and go to the grocery store so I'll have snack food this weekend at dance competition in Blue Mountain, and I have a meeting with the bank so I can start the process of getting a credit card in the works.
so I'll leave you with a pretty picture for inspiration to get motivated on this wonderful sunny morning.

Belated Birthday

My wonderful/beautiful friend Corrina made a cake (by herself which was a huge accomplishment) just for me, and it was so good that I managed to eat about ten pieces by myself over the course of three days! She took a picture of the cake so I thought I would share her masterpiece with you!

FINISHED!!!

I did it! I am finally done/ finished school! I am so happy right now I feel like I could fly into space! I woke up this morning determined to get the exam done and over with so I didn't have to think about it and I did! I only struggled with a few questions and I'm feeling really good about it. I'll post the mark when I get it:) Thanks to all who have been supporting me this last little while, you guys are awesome! I really have to thank my mom though. She has been homeschooling me my entire life and has been a constant supporter, motivator, friend, teacher, and all in all someone I've really relied on. I'm thankful for her decision to homeschool me, because of it, we've developed a tight and close relationship that I'm am extremely proud of and thankful for! so thank you Mommy!

p.s. please excuse the fact that the picture is a couple years old, but it's one of my favorites of the two of us.

Terpsichore Dance Celebration

Just to let you guys know how my competition/birthday went this weekend, I thought I'd give you a run down of some of the stuff that happened.
Musical Theater got Honours
Our hiphop number got and excellence
My ballet solo got an excellence
Lyrical got an excellence
and Jazz got a high excellence!
so basically it means most of it was in the nineties which is really good considering this is BDC's first year of having senior level groups enter competitions! all in all it was a really fun weekend! I got super nervous backstage but as soon as I was on I had the time of my life and was sad whenever I had to get off the stage.
Now for a few weird things that happened: The MC (who admitted his age was 44) kept saying "Sick!" and completely got the title of my solo wrong until I corrected him *blush* it was called Le Revanche Del Tango. During awards and such some strange girls from another company kept trying to be inconspicuous about taking pictures of a few of us (it was really weird). I had a spazz attack in the change room when some girls tried to move my tutu bag (containing my $300 Tutu) just to peek into a room they weren't suppose to enter. Oh and Danielle and I have a new thing.. we found out we love saying "SHARK BAIT OO AH AH!" (from finding Nemo).. now you have to understand this was at like a little past nine at night after a long day at competition and we were getting a little bored/hyper.
As for my birthday.. I kept forgetting it was my birthday so every now and then when I remembered, whoever was standing next to me had to put up with my "Hey guess what! It's my birthday!" haha. My wonderful nephew gave me the movie "Twilight" which I have yet to find a chance to watch, Justin gave me a couple cd's I've been craving to own (Amy Macdonald and Kate Havnevik) and my parents gave me some small hoops for my top two holes in my ear. Also my wonderful friend, classmate, and student Corrina baked me a cake all by herself and gave me a wonderful card with a beautiful note inside that almost made me cry<3 I also had a birthday party the weekend before competition where some more of my terrific friends gave me some wonderful gifts! I am so grateful for all the friends and family I have been blessed with<3

Anyways that enough blogging for now!
God Bless

P.s. I have one more test then my final exam! YAY!
